Foster the People's concert was so brilliant that it will be my most memorable music experience this year. There are few groups that can play live as well as they sound on recordings. There are fewer artists that you can say sound better live than on any recording, Foster the People is ONE of those few!
The music is delivered with a relentless passion and excellence and the light show is SO amazingly in tune with every element of the performance that you are left in rapture of the spectacle. Most shows ebb and flow, but Foster gives its all in every tune, and their set list flows like a tight short story.
In providing my own award ceremony for this year's personal consumption music tour: Best band, best set flow, best appreciation of their own strengths and artistry, and "can't go wrong" production value and illumination MUST see! If you have just heard one of their songs, try the body of work they deliver in a one hour show Cannot wait for the next CD and the next time they are in town! Read more. Report as inappropriate. Finding oneself buzzing and bouncing among the crowd at a Foster the People concert is like diving head first into the electric current the band is so skilled at conjuring through their vibrant and possessive tunes.
Each one of these talented dudes pours every ounce of their being into the music. Their passion demands your attention and their sweet symphonies command your finest foot to tap. Charming as they may be, your solo performances in your car as you sing along to the radio could use a hiatus. So do yourself a favor and grab tickets next time Foster the People hits your city. August 9, Just saw Foster the People at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, Oregon, it an outside venue, smallish enough to feel intimate, helped by fabulous.
Loved the energy of the group and the staging as well as the lighting enhanced everything about this concert. They played a well paced set, mixing older, more familiar songs organically with the newer. It all seemed effortless, and stretching several tunes out with ephemeral instrumentals and solos, especially enjoyable and listenable.
They rounded out the evening with "Pumped Up Kicks", which was somewhat distracting, since many of the concert goers were already packing up their picnics and lawn chairs forming a mass exodus out of the arena. The venue turned on the lights, and really destroyed the ambience that should have existed for the finale I would give their efforts an A plus: Very Enjoyable evening. From the second they hit the stage until the very last word of their last song they are nothing but energy! Mark is always all over the stage keeping the crowd pumped up.
About half way through the concert Mark took a few minutes to give a speech. He told the crowd to never give up on anything and to always push and encourage yourself and others. They performed stuff from both albums. Which ever songs they plan to perform you will never be disappointed! Foster The People definitely know how to give a concert, they give it everything they have and you will not leave unsatisfied!
Foster The People is the best concert I have ever been to! I will definitely go see them again! This is my 3rd time seeing Foster the People. They have come a long way in success and stage presence. They have evolved which all groups do and should. The music is great as ever. I was so happy he played Broken Jaw which is my all time favorite and really shows what a great band they are. I have no complaints. It's just the fan base is different than when they first came out.
Very showy now. I liked it when they were a little more down to earth, but that is what success is all about. I hope they expand with more dance like music. I swear at the end of one song they briefly went into "Blue Monday" by New Order.
I will see them again as long as it at a smaller place, no bigger than the Tabernacle. Advice for Mark Foster, you could just wear the old t shirts, we would love you just the same. I cannot express how much fun the Foster the People concert was. It felt like everyone in the audience knew all the words to the songs, and it made for a really energetic environment.
The whole crowd was dancing and Mark Foster really interacted with the audience. He spoke about music's ability to bring people of different backgrounds together, which was very inspirational. Foster expressed his gratitude to the people of LA his hometown and couldn't be more appreciative.
The lights and lasers accompanied the powerful sound of the band perfectly. You know you've been to a great concert when you never sit down! I highly recommend going to the next FTP concert, it was the best show I've ever been to! Thanks for a great night, see you next time!
This was the second time we'd seen Foster the People live and being that the Myth is a much better venue than Target Center - we were not disappointed - they put on an excellent show and the opening band NONONO did a really good job as well, their lack of experience showed, but we do expect bigger and greater things from them in the future.
Foster the people have great stage presence and go a great job of transferring their sound out of the studio and onto the stage - lots of instrumental variance amongst the members offer something for everyone, synth and traditional. Now - we just need to wait for their next tour - hopefully at a smaller venue like the Myth again!
The show was more than amazing. It was my first time seeing it and I am more than satisified with what I got. These guys have incredible music and their performance was really nice to see.
They know how to deliver and how to reach a climax with the crowd. Mark Forster really turnes things up and knows how to get the crowd moving. The whole band's performance leaves you wanting to see more. Hope to see them again soon and the ticket price was unbelievably low for such a great band. Foster the People was an amazing concert! Althought this was only my second concert, and so I do not have a lot to compare to, it was extraordinary. I loved that the venue was outside and they closed the street down for an outdoor conert.
The weather and atmosphere was perfect! No shows near you? Send a request to Foster the People to play a show in your city. Come to Hamburg! Live Photos of Foster the People. Fan Reviews. They played many songs from previous albums, and made the crowd dance and jump around.
They're very charismatic. One downside was that they played Pumped up Kicks, of course, but since the Brazilian presidential election it is difficult to dance to "you better run faster than my bullet", cause the elected candidate is pro-gun and have some very controversial opinions about many key topics regarding human rights and all. But the show was great! The vibe was perfect, friendly people having a good time.
